i’ve recently been painting a globe on one of the church walls, they want to represent their missionaries. so, i was looking up images of the countries and when i typed in “Iraq” there wasn’t a single pleasant photo. this one particularly caught my eye…it makes my insides twist. i know things are bad in those countries, people are in so much more pain and danger than i can imagine. i feel bad because i barely know what’s going on in my own country, let alone what’s happening in Iraq. it’s so typical to wish for peace, but it seems like the only right way to go…i mean, everyone in the world is important, everyone is God’s creation, even if they don’t want anything to do with God, they don’t deserve to be brutally destroyed by another man. it just sucks. and that’s all i can really say, because that’s all i really know.
